The parties should define whether ready means production complete, quality inspection passed, export documents available, cargo packed and labeled, and pickup access confirmed. A production-complete date alone may not be sufficient.

How should delays be managed?
Record the original date, revised forecast, reason, affected booking, responsible owner and recovery action. A late cargo-ready date can trigger missed cut-offs, storage, expedited freight or stockouts.

Useful evidence includes completed packing lists, inspection release, package dimensions and weight, pickup address, export documentation and supplier confirmation tied to the purchase order.
