Malaysian supplier verification checks a supplier’s registered identity, operating location, authority, capability and beneficiary details before commercial commitment.
How buyers use the term
Match the legal entity and registration number to contracts and invoices. Confirm whether the counterparty is a manufacturer, subcontractor, distributor or export trading company. Check that any claimed tax or customs status belongs to the same entity and site.
| Checkpoint | Question to resolve |
|---|---|
| Entity | Which legal business will contract, invoice and receive payment? |
| Site or basis | Which facility, standard or rule supports the supplier’s claim? |
| Release | What evidence must be approved before the order, shipment or payment proceeds? |
Evidence to retain
Retain dated company evidence, licences or certifications supplied, facility verification, reference checks, approved signatories and bank-detail confirmation.
Practical limitation
Registration proves that an entity exists. It does not prove that its factory has the required process, capacity or quality system.
