The sourcing decision
Map the required process and supply tier, particularly where a seller belongs to a larger industrial group. Confirm origin, export capability, minimum quantities and technical communication. Identify any material sourced through an upstream affiliate.
Documents and checks
Keep legal-entity evidence, production-site details, quotation, specification, certification documents, quality records, export paperwork and payment evidence.
A supplier’s relationship with a recognized group or brand should be verified. Similar names and authorized distribution claims do not establish corporate affiliation.
