The National Bank’s IBAN code list also includes the National Bank and State Treasury. This business bank directory excludes those two public institutions and includes the 19 listed commercial banks and microbanks.

Are SWIFT codes different for business accounts?

Business and personal accounts generally use the same institution-level code. Receiving instructions can still differ by legal entity, account currency, product or correspondent route.

How to choose the correct Georgian bank code
  1. Use the full IBAN. The two-letter bank code is embedded in the beneficiary’s Georgian IBAN.
  2. Match the institution. Use the exact bank or microbank named in the account instructions.
  3. Check the currency and route. Foreign-currency payments may include correspondent-bank details.
  4. Confirm before release. Verify changed or first-time instructions with a known contact at the recipient business.

How should Georgian bank details be verified?

Compare the bank code and BIC-form participant code with current instructions issued for the beneficiary account before releasing funds.
